Firm Background

The Foster Law Group, P.C. provides its clients the quality of a one-on-one attorney-client relationship that is easier to grow and maintain in a small firm setting. The Firm limits its practice to Estates Planning and Trusts, Bankruptcy, Business Entity Formation and Trademarking.
The Firm continues to develop its competitive edge over other firms offering similar services by leveraging technology and employing highly skilled legal staff. These and other cost saving strategies enable the firm to keeps its legal fees low while continuing to provide its clients the quality legal services they deserve.
The Foster Law Group, P.C. is located in Denver, Colorado. The firm represents clients throughout Colorado and Southeastern Wyoming.
About the Founder
William is a Colorado native and was born and raised in the Rocky Mountain region. He has practiced law since his admission to the Colorado bar and has experience with both transactional and litigation work in the private and public sectors. His legal background and experience make him uniquely positioned to understand the needs of the individuals and corporations he serves.
Prior to graduating law school, William served as an intern with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This internship provided William with invaluable insight into the enforcement process and the complexities of securities laws.
After passing the bar exam, William immediately began serving as a transactional attorney with the U.S. Small Business Administration in Fort Worth, Texas. While working with the agency he provided counsel to small business owners on a wide range of legal matters including: business formation, commercial leasing, mortgage lending, secured transactions and bankruptcy.
Upon returning to Denver, William served as an attorney for a large real estate law firm focusing on general real estate litigation, residential foreclosures, and evictions.
William currently focuses his practice on consumer bankruptcy law under chapter 7 and chapter 13 of the bankruptcy code.
Additionally, William continues to serve as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve with MACS-23 in Aurora, Colorado.

Jay K. Y. Hsu, Esq.
Mr. Hsu primarily focuses his practice on advising small business clients, contract drafting and review, bankruptcy, and intellectual property. His credentials include performing outside-counseling services for a Logitech subsidiary, ACHEM Industry America, Inc., and the trade union for an AIG Group insurance company. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hsu worked as a legislative assistant for a lawmaker from Asia. This overseas experience served to broaden his international horizon and understandings of international and administrative laws, as well as equipping him with invaluable multitasking and problem-solving skills. Later, Mr. Hsu interned with the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network in Westminster, Colorado, where he became familiar with the complexities of the U.S. immigration law and regularly assisted indigent immigrants in identifying legal rights and ramifications in removal proceedings.
In 2008, Mr. Hsu enhanced his international profile and served as a foreign attorney at Lin & Chang International Law Office, where he focused his practice on international commercial disputes, contract drafting and review, bankruptcy, general corporate law, intellectual property, and outside-counseling services for corporations. While working in Asia Mr. Hsu became a guest lecturer of the American Legal System, Constitution and Government at two universities.

Richard J. Symmes, Esq.
Richard Symmes currently focuses his practice on business, bankruptcy and intellectual property matters. Prior to joining the Foster Law Group P.C., Mr. Symmes was an associate attorney at a law firm in Denver, Colorado where his practice involved real estate, insurance and litigation matters. While in law school Mr. Symmes clerked at All Pro Sports and Entertainment in Denver, Colorado, where he participated in the representation of marquee NFL and PGA athletes in player grievances, endorsement contracts, standard player contracts, business incorporations and trademark disputes. In addition to his work at All Pro, Mr. Symmes clerked and interned for several law firms throughout Colorado in the areas of employment, family, gambling, and trusts and estates law.
Mr. Symmes is a graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he was the Vice President and Community Director of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society as well as a Staff Editor for the University of Denver Sports and Entertainment Law Journal. Mr. Symmes earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in Seattle where he double majored in economics and communications.
